LCSW

My greatest passion is working with children and adults with anxiety-related
disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also deeply enjoy working
with individuals and families to heal and empower family dynamics and
relationships. My personal style is direct, compassionate and solution oriented.

I have extensive experience as a school-based child therapy specialist and have
counseled children who were dealing with social and emotional issues such as
those associated with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anger, and grief.
Transitioning to working in private practice has allowed me to bring all my
valuable experience as a school based counselor and children’s group facilitator
into a setting where I can have greater reach and more therapeutic freedom. In this
setting, I have been able to expand my toolbox of modalities and become more
integrative and holistic in my approach.

When working with clients, I integrate complementary methodologies and
techniques within a goal-oriented approach. I apply evidence-based modalities
such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention
(ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness as part of
any treatment plan for anxiety based disorders. I am also proponent of helping my
clients find self-empowerment and teaching them the practice of self-compassion
since we often see anxious kiddos and adults being really hard on themselves.
When working with children I also utilize (SPACE), Supportive Parenting for
Anxious Childhood Emotions, which is a parent-based treatment program for
children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related problems. I truly enjoy
empowering parents to support their children’s journey with anxiety in healthy and
adaptive way.
